Open Source Mapping Course - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Mapping Across Borders, a Canadian Non-Profit Organization, and eSystems Africa, an Ethiopian IT solutions company, will be holding a five day mapping seminar in Addis Ababa from July 9 to July 13, 2012 at the Head Office of Agri Service, Ethiopia. This seminar will teach GIS from the ground up and focus on its practical uses for NGOs and Civil Society groups; all are welcome to attend.
The training will include snacks and a lunch each day. Each participant is required bring their own computer for the training. At the completion of the training, each participant attending the full course will be given a certificate of attendance clearly showing topics covered.
The cost of the seminar is subject to the following rates:
6,000 + 900 (VAT) ETB: Government and Private Industry
4,500 + 675 (VAT) ETB: Standard Rate
3,000 + 450 (VAT) ETB: Discounted Rate (Persons Unemployed)

For each referral, a participant may be eligible to deduct 500 ETB* from the course cost, to a maximum of 1,500 ETB (*One referral rate per organization. Other conditions apply).
