Global Forest Watch

Global Forest Watch's overall objective is to infuse transparency and accountability into the decision making processes that determine how forests are managed and for whom. This site has some downloadable Canadian maps as well as interactive maps from around the world. They are currently working to update and add to the data that pertains to Aboriginal peoples. delivers current and interesting GIS, CAD, and Desktop Mapping news and resources. This web site brings you wealth of information and links on relevant topics including map viewers and other software, conferences, publications, resources and has a discussion forum. As well, the monthly newsletter informs the on-line gis community of up-to-date gis and geography resources available on the web.
