'Living Proof' wins Canadian book design award

The recently published book on Indigenous use-and-occupancy map surveys titled "Living Proof" authored by Terry N. Tobias  and co-published by Ecotrust Canada and the Union of BC Indian Chiefs has been awarded a 2010 Alcuin National Book Design Award.

The Gordon Foundation has announced a new toolkit for First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities in Canada to aid in shaping the terms on which minerals will be extracted from Aboriginal lands in Canada.

The Lienzo de Quauhquechollan

A lienzo is a painting on cloth that was used by indigenous peoples in Central America to communicate knowledge. The Lienzo de Quauhquechollan dating from the 1530's tells the story of how the Quauhquecholtecans of central Mexico allied with the Spanish conquistador Jorge de Alvarado to conquer Guatemala.
