TEMPORARY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Salary: $27,569 – $31,755 DOQ
Location: Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission (Olympia, Washington)
Closing Date: April 6, 2012
Project Duration: May 1, 2012 – April 30, 2013
Position Description: Assist the NWIFC-SSHIAP program in the development of an ArcGIS data management and sharing platform for the sharing of environmental data through the NWIFC’s AquaScape Interactive Mapping Application (www.nwifc.org).

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Natural Resources, or related field and one year of pertinent work experience. Combined background in natural resource ecology (habitat management) and ArcGIS data analysis/management is desired. Knowledgeable and proficient in using ArcGIS10 and experience with SQl Server. Applicants working towards Bachelor’s degree will be considered depending on work experience. Ability to analyze and compile technical information to prepare datasets and present information. Proficient in Word, Excel, and database applications. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and cooperatively in a team environment to contribute to the improvement of the sharing of tribal data.
