Ltd is an environmental consulting firm based in the Comox Valley on
Vancouver Island. We specialize in the evaluation and management of
impacts to aquatic, riparian, and terrestrial ecosystems. We have an
immediate employment opportunity for a GIS Analyst to work with our team
of biologists, hydrologists, chemists, and environmental
technicians.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience
providing cartographic products and creating and managing spatial
data. The candidate will have proven skills using ESRI ArcGIS 9.x
suite of products and extensions. The candidate will also be
proficient in analyzing and modeling spatial data. The candidate
will have experience working with imagery and CAD drawings as well as
strong knowledge of geographic coordinate systems and transformation
methods. The candidate will have the ability to utilize scripting
or programming languages such as VBA, Python or other. Good oral
and written communication skills are an asset.
