From the NWTribalGIS listserve:
The Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals (MAGIP) is holding it’s annual meeting in Bozeman, MT the week of April 19th 2010. They have asked me to coordinate a Tribal Track as part of the agenda for part or all of a day. We are hoping to get presentations from any and all interested Tribal GIS folks (any and all levels invited to present!), and to hold discussions on a variety of topics. Topics to date include (but not limited to): “Sharing of sensitive data” “Tribal issues/concerns/ interest regarding current or future enhancements to your GIS programs” , “Data resources – where to get data, types of available data, and networking with other GIS professionals”. Other ideas greatly appreciated!!
This will be a great opportunity to meet and share knowledge and information about your GIS Programs.
Final schedule and agenda are still being worked out, so please contact me with questions, suggestions and/or interest in participating, as soon as possible and we’ll get you on the schedule (a brief write up and bio are being requested of all presenters – presentations should be 5 to 15 minutes in length) . If you know of anyone who might be interested, please pass this along.
Hope to see you there,
