Asset Management / Mapping Technician





TOWN OF SIDNEY

In the Engineering & Works Department, this position is responsible for: spatial mapping and data collection; condition reporting life-cycle costing; record keeping relating to the management and evaluation of the Town’s infrastructure assets; field assignments using survey and GPS equipment; and preparing detailed engineering design drawings and cost estimates for annual infrastructure replacement and upgrade projects.

Applicants should have a technical diploma in geomatics, surveying or civil engineering technology, plus 5 years related experience (particularly with GIS Mapping and AutoCAD software). A detailed job description is available on the Town’s website – www.sidney.ca.

This is a regular, full-time Union position with a rate of pay of $28.10 – $30.51/hr, plus a comprehensive benefit package.
