The Council of Yukon First Nations and Champagne & Aishihik are seeking an interviewer for the First Nations Regional Longitudinal Health Survey to conduct surveys in Whitehorse.  Under the direction of the Regional Health Survey Coordinator and Champagne & Aishihik Manager of Health, interviewers will interview community members on health issues.  The information collected will provide evidence that can be used by Champagne & Aishihik for health planning and lobbying for more services & resources. The expected term is approximately 6 weeks. Payment will be $25.00 per completed interview. A bonus will be given when the data collection target is reached by March 15, 2009.

Duties:
Contact community members for interviews
Conduct interviews (laptop or paper)
Have participants sign individual consent forms
Mail completed paper copy surveys & consent forms to CYFN
Upload completed laptop surveys Other related duties

Interviewers will be required to participate in an Interviewer training session.

Qualifications:
Experience working with Yukon First Nation peoples
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
Ability to gain the trust and respect of community members
Computer experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Previous interviewing experience would be an asset

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo a criminal records check and sign a declaration of secrecy.  Interested persons are welcome to apply, however preference will be given to Yukon First Nations.
