Information & Communications Technology Department
This is a permanent, full-time position working thirty-five (35) hours per week.
Duties:
Under general supervision, serve as a GIS resource for spatial data processing, thematic mapping, database management, data collection and output, and systems research and development.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) year Diploma in Geographic Information Systems technology from a recognized, post-secondary institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Two (2) years related experience in the use of GIS, including spatial data processing, thematic mapping, database management and knowledge of relevant software tools.
- Experience in an urban or municipal government with GeoMedia Professional GIS and AutoCAD is an asset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a changing environment.
- Knowledge of GIS-based Internet applications.
- Proficiency in use of the Internet and Internet search tools.
Salary | $34.68 (Probationary rate) $38.00 – $40.71 (Permanent rates) |
