If so, join the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural affairswhere you will build linkages with a team of professionals.You will: create, compile, prepare and process data; assist in thedesign, quality control, entry and maintenance of spatial data; conductsimple analysis and generate reports; write complex automation andprogramming routines; and, trouble-shoot and assist in the resolution ofoperating problems with Windows and Unix based computer systems.

*Qualifications:*knowledge of GIS concepts in raster and vector datamodels, map projections, scale and resolution, accuracy and precision;demonstrated knowledge of format, structure and conversions for spatialand associated tabular data; knowledge of personalcomputers/software/hardware (e.g. word processing, database, electronicmail and spreadsheet applications) and peripherals; an ability to workwithin an ARCINFO and ARCVIEW geomatics environment (and commonextensions for modelling and analysis); ability to manage multipleprojects assigned and adjust priorities; experience with digital mapproduction, data management and presentation production; and, oral andwritten and technical communication skills to interpret and develop GISproducts to meet client/stakeholder needs.
