Education
- Graduation from a course of study in Geographic Information Systems or a related technical discipline from a college or other industry-recognized institution or education program.
Experience
– Experience working with ESRI ArcGIS software.
– Experience editing, maintaining and managing geospatial data.
– Experience developing and maintaining metadata.
– Experience performing geo-spatial analysis.
– Experience designing and producing hard and softcopy maps.
– Experience designing and developing GIS scripts and software applications.

Education:
– Graduation from a post-secondary degree in Geography, Geomatics or a related course of study from a university, college or other industry-recognized institution or education program.
Experience:
– Experience working with ESRI, ArcSDE and ArcIMS.
– Experience providing GIS services within a law enforcement or public safety environment. - OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
– Valid driver’s license.

Challenge
Carrying out geo-spatial data collection, compilation, processing and verification as part of geo-spatial application development and quality control process. Correcting data anomalies and errors. Assembling and presenting geo-spatial data using mapping, graphic or other representational forms in accordance with established procedures, specifications and client requests.
Create and maintain geo-databases and spatial data files consistent with project plans. Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Responding to requests for technical data and information. Consulting, researching and obtaining data and information from reference and archival material. Assembling, preparing and issuing requested material.
Designs, develops and implements geo-spatial mapping software applications.
Preparing time inputs and assembling reference material including technical specifications and documentation to support the development of project plans, terms of reference, technical instructions and agreements.
