GIS Analyst

As a leader in implementing spatial information solutions and services, Tamarack provides complete life cycle planning and management services focused on the design and delivery of enterprise GIS solutions.

• Consulting with clients to define spatial system requirements and translating business requirements into GIS design and specifications
• Developing business cases for systems by analyzing the requirements, feasibility, costs, risks, design and specifications and recommending technical solutions and time estimates
• Working with project teams to design, develop, and implement spatial solutions
• Preparing and presenting project status reports and communication plans
• Providing time estimates for new projects

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

• University degree or relevant Post Secondary Diploma
• Experience with analysis and design methodologies
• Experience building spatial databases and identifying spatial data flows
• Experience with corporate/enterprise geographic information systems
• Experience with ESRI technologies, including ArcSDE and ArcGIS Server
• Experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server an asset
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under time pressures with ability to multi-task,working on multiple projects with varying deliverables
• Ability to follow standard Project Management methodologies and presenting status reports
