WWF-US needs to produce a series of consistent maps using ArcGIS. Part-time help is sought to assist with:
Mapping biological and social data for several regions following a consistent template and color scheme; summarizing data within regions or defined areas (e.g. amount of tropical forests that are within protected areas); creating and mapping new data (identifying forests at a certain elevation range); organizing, naming data and updating metadata according to defined standards; managing spatial datasets including raster data.
Proficiency in ArcGIS essential. Must be organized, able to work independently and be creative. U.S. citizen or valid U.S. work permit (or work/study), NO exceptions.
Availability in Washington DC on a part-time basis (very flexible) for the fall semester: September – December, for a total of 100-150 hours.
