A truly world-class employer, the BC Public Service is proud to provide high-quality, citizen-centric services to all British Columbians.

The Provincial Government has committed to an exciting new initiative dedicated to improve the effectiveness of Provincial engagements with First Nations. This is your chance to take a place amongst a dedicated group of professionals stationed throughout the province as part of a multi-agency initiative, hosted by the Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB).

Working on behalf of the Natural Resource Agencies, ILMB is a client-focused organization providing services to clients inside and outside of government. Through ILMB’s efforts we remain dedicated to supporting the sustainable economic development of our province’s precious natural resources, which positively impacts all citizens of our provincial communities.

This initiative requires innovative multi-agency organizational approaches and tools to meet legal obligations, facilitate the delivery of efficient services, support the Crown and First Nations to build lasting agreements and also reduce the collective Crown and First Nations consultation burden.

Sub-region teams are being developed in eight areas of the Province to assist natural resource ministries in implementing this new approach. Physical locations include: Nanaimo, Surrey, Smithers, Ft. St. John, Prince George, Williams Lake, Kamloops, and Cranbrook.

Manage an innovative multi-agency team and ILBM support unit for the corporate coordination of legal consultations and provincial engagements with First Nations. You will also provide negotiation services for strategic engagement agreements/negotiations between First Nations and the natural resource-based ministries/agencies and external stakeholders.
