Job Description:
In this one year term position, you’ll be working with our Asset Management Coordinator to support the Town’s new asset management system, but your primary focus is our SQL server and GIS relational databases necessary to maintain the links between our spatial data and our business, tourist, financial, utility and planning information.
If you weren’t already pursuing a career in GIS, you might be in Information Technology, as you’re that much of a technical expert, with skills in html programming, javascript and Access databases.
We need you to be our ArcIMS and Google Maps site expert, so you need to have previous exposure to ArcGIS Server software along with experience creating layers and managing data within an ESRI environment using ArcGIS desktop products.
As part of our Corporate Services team, you support internal and external clients throughout the entire organization, and offer technical assistance and training to end users. When not in your office preparing cartographic products, your days could include conducting field work using a hand-held GPS device or organizing digital data and hard copy maps.
