Responsibilities:
- Use Cartographic and GIS skills and experience to support GSI product development and project initiatives
- Work closely with project managers, system administrators and other system operators to ensure smooth operation of GSI’s projects/production activities
- Undertake vector capture and database population as required to support project related activities
- Basic Satellite Image Processing (Geocoding. Subsetting, PanFuse, and Orthorectification)
- Provide technical support to Client Services, Sales and clients on an as required basis
- Serve as a key interface for internal and external clients for technical questions related to cartography
- Airport Vector Feature Extraction (VFE) to meet D0-272 standards
- QA vector/attribute for dataset integrity
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three to five years experience in related field
- Post Secondary Education in related field
- Or equivalent experience and education combined
- Experience with PCI, Microstation, FME and ArcInfo software packages
- GIS programming skills would be an asset
- Ability to provide highly accurate VFE
- Proven ability to work unsupervised on a given project
