The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a Regular full-time GIS Analyst to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division, Information Technology Department.
Reporting to the Manager, Geomatics Services, you will be responsible in this unionized position for variety of technical and analytical functions related to the ongoing design and maintenance of the Geographic Information System and related systems, serve as project leader for GIS project phases, evaluate new software or systems and assist in standards development, as well as manipulate data for the production of maps and other deliverables, perform analyses, provide technical support and guidance to system users, customize and support GIS applications with programming tools, perform spatial database modeling, and database administration.
Your education will include completion of a geographic information system post-diploma program plus 4 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You should posses skills and knowledge including but not limited to: ArcGIS, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, ArcPad, geodatabase management, C# programming, ArcObjects, SQL Server, Oracle; proven skills in providing solutions for software and hardware issues; current with GIS trends, principles and practices.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $30.84 – $36.43 per hour, plus benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day, between 8:30 and 4:30 pm.
