The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land, and Water is recruiting for a full-time GIS Specialist (Natural Resource Specialist II) to work primarily with the Land Sales and Contract Administration Section.

This position works with contractors, programmers, and business staffto coordinate the design, development, and maintenance of the Land Sales Portal using ArcGIS Server technology. The Land Sales Portal will present an interactive public interface to the land disposals website.

The incumbent will also assist with GIS training development and instruction for GIS users in the department. He or she may also be asked to perform some troubleshooting and technical support in the usage of GIS software.

In addition, the incumbent will produce maps, brochures, and othergraphic products using GIS and graphics software (Adobe). Substantial additional duties include researching existing documents, maps, casefiles, plats, surveys, and legal descriptions.
