Dillon Consulting Limited is a well established, employee-owned, professional consulting firm which operates across Canada and internationally. We provide a wide range of consulting and design services related to the infrastructure, real estate, resource, industrial and government sectors in Canada and abroad. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of GIS Technologist in our Saint John Office.
Responsibilities:
• Provision of GIS services for projects related to land development, environmental engineering, environmental assessment, and ecological restoration design
• Development of GIS Mapping tools relating to site assessment, site contaminant work and land use planning projects.
• Preparation and management of reports, proposals and presentations, as needed
• Collaboration with and assistance in coordination of design team activities including input from biologists, engineers, planners and environmental scientists
• Assistance with field work as needed
Qualifications:
• A college diploma with specialized training in GIS applications. A secondary background in Science would be considered an asset.
• At least two years of related work experience
Experience:
• Working knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) software applications and production equipment including plotters and scanners
• Demonstrated experience working successfully in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
