Your rock solid understanding of GIS technology, spatial and temporal data analysis, and geo-spatial data stores will assist you in all aspects of this challenging role. Reporting to the Director, you will share your expertise in GIS Technology and, as well, illustrate strong leadership and client relationship skills working collaboratively with Elections Alberta staff and other Divisions’ Directors. You will develop and implement mapping standards, provide required geo-spatial services and analysis, and develop innovative solutions to improve election related business processes. This will require good interpersonal skills and you must be able to work under pressure in this challenging job.
Qualifications: A technical diploma in a related field and several years experience using ESRI GIS products – ArcGIS, ArcView, ArcEditor, etc. Experience with additional GIS products would be an asset. Equivalencies may be considered. Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening.
