GIS Technologist – Alberta Sustainable Resource Development


Sustainable Resource Development , Edmonton –  Seeking a highly motivated individual to provide GIS project and daily routine support for the fire management programs within the Forest Protection Division. Reporting to the Wildfire Resource Information Unit Head you will utilize your cartography, data, and programming skills to support strategic and operational activities. The unit uses ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, Oracle, and both MS Windows and UNIX operating systems in their daily operations. You will require good interpersonal skills and must be able to work under pressure in this challenging job.

Qualifications: Advanced Diplomaor Certificate in GIS. Familiarization with the ESRI suite of GISproducts is required. Salary Range: $17.68 to $22.32 per hour (wagerate is based upon qualifications). This is a four-month wageopportunity.
