The MMS Research Unit in Quebec is currently looking for a Geographical Information System
(GIS) Technician to work with the Traditional Use Study Project.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Process and digitize map overlays into MapInfo software.
- Verify and validate TUS data for expert analysis
- Input related data into basemaps such as pictures, audio and video clips and source data.
- Keep updated records of all information processed and digitized.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge and experience in mapping, digitizing and GPS navigation.
- Must be familiar with functionality of MapInfo software and digitizing plotter table.
Duration
This job offer is a one year contract.
