Sustainable Resource Development , Edmonton –The Information Communications Technology (ICT) Branch is committed tosupporting SRD business areas to deliver their programs and meet clientrequirements, with the Branch recently re-aligning its services toachieve this goal. If you are interested in applying your stronginformation technology and project management skills in a leadershiprole, you will be interested in joining our team as a senior systemsanalyst.
You will lead project teams and coordinate major geospatialprojects to deliver strategically aligned systems and solutions for theMinistry, as well as support clients to identify and facilitatebusiness improvements using geospatial technologies. Your extensiveknowledge of the geomatic sciences used by business areas andgeospatial and ICT architectures will be great assets in supportingclients to transform business directions into current and maintainableapplication environments.
This position requires a commitment to superior client service,strong leadership and analytical skills, and highly developedcommunication and consultation skills.
Qualifications: Completion of a computer science or related university degree and considerable years of directly related experience. In addition to applicable technical expertise and experience, this senior systems analyst position requires demonstrated progressively responsible experience in the areas of project and contract management; systems and business analysis; client relationship management. Supervisory experience and Membership in the Canadian Information Systems Society (CIPS) and a valid Information Systems Profession (ISP) designation and/or associated vendor certification are considered assets.
Equivalences will be considered. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower level and salary. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies.
