Data Collection Field Workers


(Four Summer Students desired)

Location: Whitehorse, YT
Hours: Full–Time, term
Salary: 19.79 per hour, dependent on funding

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Field Manager, these positions will work within a comprehensive training component that will allow them to gain skills related to the following responsibilities: confidential collection of data, interviewing, and obtaining signed consent forms. The incumbent will work in a team environment, and must have strong interpersonal and communications skills both oral and written. The position will be required to spend the duration of employment in various Yukon First Nations communities, have the ability to travel extensively and to work/live in outdoor conditions.

Requirements:
Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years, a current student in either post-secondary or high school and attending/returning to a post-secondary institution in the fall. Students of all disciplines are encouraged to apply, particularly those in a health or First Nations related field. The applicant(s) must provide a criminal records check. The incumbent(s) must sign a declaration of secrecy. Some restrictions and requirements will apply.

Asset qualifications:
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
First Aid or Wilderness First Aid Certificate
Firearms Safety training and Certificate
