Responsibilities:
The Asset Management Technologist is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of streetlight asset management systems and processes. This position provides support for streetlight functions and activities including design, operation, and maintenance of streetlighting by ensuring efficient, accurate and timely update and use of streetlight related information.

Specific duties include:

– administer, develop and maintain systems and business processes for the streetlight GIS and Asset Management System;
– maintain the workflow of other positions, create and update user manuals and interactive help menus;
– perform complex spatial and business data analysis to support project specific or operational decision making processes. Produce reports, respond to inquiries and provide streetlighting data to clients;
– monitor, provide directions and instruction on QA/QC work and procedures. Administer geodatabase for qualify control and quality assurance requirements;
– review, monitor, inspect and administer all activities performed under the streetlight maintenance service level agreement. Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications and contract documents for tender of streetlight upgrades.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant must posses a minimum of a technical diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field (equivalent to two years full-time study) and three years related experience. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of civil engineering design and construction principles and a good understanding of spatial data management principles, Crystal Reports, CAD and Microstation, Hansen and ESRI products applications.
