Join our team, and you will be joining the catalyst and facilitator for developing a sustainable mineral resource sector for British Columbians.
As a geospatial geoscientist you will have the opportunity to lead and conduct the scientific analysis of geoscience data to discover new spatial and thematic relationships that can lead to advances in the understanding of the geology of the province or identifying new areas of mineral potential in the province. Your challenge will be to build data models with significant predictive power, particularly in the third dimension. You will also be responsible for planning, leading and organizing these projects and publishing the results in reports, on maps and in digital databases. You have experience carrying out geospatial data systems work, such as data warehousing, image analysis and spatial information systems development. In addition you are eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia as an engineer or geoscientist.
