I just joined in AMN few days ago after finding a link to the site on another website concerning indigenous affairs. I was really excited about this discovery! So let me introduce myself: My name is Virva and I’m archaeologist from Finland. Through my profession I have become very interested in GIS and eventually went to UK to study it for a year (2004-2005). My professional interest is in use of space and subsistence settlement systems, in other words inter- and intra-site studies. I have some but not much work experience in GIS, but am eager to learn more and update my knowledge in it. In addition to GIS, I have long been interested in indigenous affairs. So goes without saying that I nearly dropped my eyes finding this site! I really look forward to contribute to AMN and getting know you.
