Duties

Under the direction of the Senior Program Administrator, Quality Assurance, the Property Registration Technician supports the land and property programs quality assurance program.  S/he will be involved in addressing errors or potential errors in high risk areas uncovered by a routine audit and/or land programs policy, system and data audits.  The incumbent investigates land program data integrity issues, prepares rectifications resulting from routine and internal program audits, and provides technical and system process support to Property Online clients.  The Technician prepares prescribed forms for entry into the Land Titles system, enters data corrections in LIN-NS and uses data mining results and Property Online to investigate and analyze various land transaction scenarios.  S/he may process AFRs, PDCAs and a multitude of subsequent land titles and related transactions to support the rectification and quality assurance process.  Will work with the Administrators of Policy and Data to ensure compliance with Legislation, Regulations, Policies and Standards.

Qualifications
 
Grade XII plus graduation from an approved Technical school in a related field or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.  Preference will be given to candidates who have completion of a drafting, mapping, survey or a paralegal course and one year experience in Customer Service.  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the Registry Act and the Land Registration Act, related regulations, and able to demonstrate sound judgement.  A good working knowledge of property and digital mapping techniques, a thorough understanding of the Land Titles Registry policy, procedures, and standards, including a basic understanding of crown land records and references is required.  Preference will be given to candidates who have excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.  Must be able to interact with the public in a professional manner with a customer service approach.  Additional experience/education in Geographic Information Systems, broad computer skills, database software, and the handling and maintaining of spreadsheets and data files would be an asset.

Classification Range:   TE 11 – TE 21
Salary Range: $29,048 – $48,389
