Essential qualifications:
Extensive practical and direct experience within the GIS field.
Experience in GIS project planning and design, development and implementation, including developing strategic plans for organizational uses of GIS.
Experience in managing projects or resources.
Experiencing in liaising with special purpose committees, internal departments and external agencies regarding planning data and GIS information for special projects.

Asset qualifications:
Experience using CASE Tools in Microsoft Visio.
Application development and programming in VBA or Python.
Experience using Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
Experience with Canadian Forces.
Experience with Canadian Forces Ranges.
Experience with Land Management/ Forestry.
Experience with Environmental Management.

Position: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technologist
Classification: EG-04
Salary: $49,553 – $60,287
Employment Status: Indeterminate

Extensive experience within the GIS field.
Recent experience utilizing the ESRI ArcGIS suite of software, including various extensions and their interaction with MS-Office based programs.
Experience with developing procedures for the use of GIS in a multi-disciplinary workplace.

Assets:

Experience using CASE Tools in Microsoft Visio.
Experience in application development and programming in VBA or Python.
Experience using Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
Experience working with the Canadian Forces.
Experience working with Canadian Forces Ranges.
