Description: We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent technical and interpersonal skills to work with our talented team in delivering outstanding service to our clients. In this position you will be responsible for using GIS tools and mapping applications to build, manipulate and maintain data, produce thematic maps and support mapping for projects.
Responsibilities will include:

Knowledge of GIS theory essential.

Experience and formal education with ESRI/ArcGIS systems required.

Experience and education in cartography/map presentation

Knowledge of survey data, engineering drawings and site plans an asset.

Familiarity with graphics packages such as CorelDraw or Illustrator an asset.

Knowledge or experience with GIS software, coordinate systems and projections and vector & raster formats an asset
-
Knowledge of environmental industry a strong asset.

Experience or interest in AutoCAD an asset.

Experience with GPS systems an asset.

Experience/knowledge in Internet mapping technologies such as MapGuide or MapServer an asset

Interest in emerging open source GIS technologies (Google Earth, mash-ups, etc.) an asset.
Position requirements:

Willingness to work with intermediate staff and within the project team on various projects of differing complexity
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Highly proficient with computers and various Microsoft programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
