On behalf of the Canadian Council of Geomatics (CCOG), the GeoBase Steering Committee is pleased to announce the first release of the National Road Network, edition 2.0 (NRN 2.0). The NRN 2.0 contains address ranges, street names and place names.
The dataset released on October 15, is Nova Scotia’s first submission of NRN 2.0 data. It was produced by Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (SNSMR) through the Nova Scotia Geomatics Centre (NSGC) in collaboration with their following provincial partners;
- Emergency Measures Organization,
- Transportation and Public Works,
- Municipal Units, and
- First Nations
Production of the Nova Scotia NRN 2.0 was accomplished within the framework of a maintenance agreement between NRCan, Statistics Canada and SNSMR with the support of GeoConnections program.
