Opportunity:

Ministry of Forests and Range, BC Timber Sales, Cariboo-Chilcotin Business Area, Williams Lake.

A great opportunity to apply your GIS and data management skills while working within a dedicated and supportive team.

As the GIS/Data Analyst you will implement the BCTS corporate Data Integrity Strategy and oversee all aspects of data management in the BC Timber Sales Business Area. You will also provide services to the Business Area by managing and conducting advanced spatial data analysis for use in BCTS resource planning and decision making.

You hold an Undergraduate degree in Geography or Resource Management with at least 2 years experience, or a College diploma with 4 years experience, in 3 of the following (preferably all) fields:

-Resource management
-Forest Technology
-Land use planning
-Forests Technology and/or environmental sciences
-Transportation engineering/infrastructure
-Remote Sensing
