You are an expert in spatial analysis and cartographic tools,
particularly geographic information systems

As a GIS Analyst you will prepare plans and deliver the acquisition and analysis of resource and digital data. You will also develop and execute advanced integrated spatial analysis from multiple combinations of spatial and attribute data, uses modeling functions to predict the effect of resource management options, providing analytical data and descriptive statistics for decision making and reports.

You’ll also be called upon to create new datasets, models against existing databases and write programs to report on databases.

You hold a Technical Diploma in GIS or Natural Resource Management, along with 3 years of related and current (gained in the last 3 years) experience or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

In addition:
– Manipulating and integrating geographical and statistical data using multiple geographic information systems, applications and relational database management systems
– Creating a variety of digital, geographical and descriptive products including themes, colour thematic maps, terrain models and associated descriptive statistics
– Project management and administration experience including overseeing contracts

Lesser qualified applicants may be appointed at a lower level.

You hold a valid BC Driver’s Licence.
