Diploma in Geomatics Technology or a related discipline from a college
or other institution, or other industry recognized equivalent

Other Merit Criteria and Conditions of Employment

  • Applicants must demonstrate in their application that they meet the following merit criteria to be retained for further consideration.
    • Experience in assisting in one or more aspects of service delivery in a geomatics discipline, such as collecting, compiling and processing geo-spatial data or creating basic data products in accordance with specified technical procedures and specifications.
    • Experience in basic operation of scientific geo-spatial technical systems and software, such as EDM, GPS, data collectors/recorders, CAD, etc.
    • Experience in basic operation of office software, such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation packages.
    • Experience in performing basic collection, compilation, production or representation tasks using electronic and other geo-spatial data collection, observation or representation equipment.
