Temporary Elections BC Opportunity
Position: GIS Technician
Competition Number: TEMP 2007:13
Duration: Full time, immediately to September 5, 2008
Compensation rate: $21.51 – $24.48 per hour, depending on experience (as per Elections BC Tariff of Fees)
Location: Victoria, BC
Regular work day: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some additional hours or evening shifts may be required.

A temporary opportunity exists with the Geographic and Voter Data Services team for an
experienced individual to provide technical expertise and support the development and
maintenance of Elections BC’s Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Electoral
Information System (EIS).

The results of this competition may also be used to establish an eligibility list for future or additional employment opportunities as a GIS Technician.
