College Professor in Environmental Programming for Aboriginal Learners, Okanagan College (Kelowna, BC)

Arts and Foundational Programs is seeking applications for a College Professor to work on the development of environmental programming for aboriginal learners at Okanagan College. The successful applicant will have expertise in environm,ental management, post secondary program development and/or aboriginal issues and will provide a key role in developing environmental programming for aboriginal students at Okanagan College. The successful applicant will be involved in conducting employment surveys, student surveys, setting up a program advisory committee, and writing program and course proposals.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Biology, Sociology, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Aborigional Studies or a closely related field is required; however, a Master’s degree is preferred. Successful applicants will be an integral part of the team that will help Okanagan College realize the promise of a world-class college.

This is a part-time term appointment with a possibility of future full-time term work effective October 15, 2007. Please note: This position is subject to budgetary approval. Salary and working conditions are governed by the Okanagan College Faculty Association Collective Agreement. Placement on the salary scale is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
