The main purpose of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to develop a formal government-to-government relationship between the Ktunaxa Nation and the provincial or federal government agency that has signed the MOU with the Nation.
A number of Memoranda of Understanding have been signed recently between the Nation and provincial or federal government agencies. These include (all open in pdf format):

Energy and Mineral Development
Each MOU includes the establishment of an intergovernmental management committee. This committee ensures the parties work together collaboratively in managing the lands and resources within the Ktunaxa Traditional Territory.
