AQUARIUS R&D
Aquarius R&D (ARD) is looking for an individual with an interest in renewable energy and hydrology to fulfill the position of Project Technician (beginning Oct 1, 2007). ARD is a small consulting firm specializing in GIS, Mapping, Hydrometric data collection, Hydrological analysis, and storage / energy modeling.
This position will involve assistance in field data collection, processing of hydrometric data and hydrological analysis. The applicant will also conduct power and energy modeling, mapping and GIS analysis for potential hydropower sites. The applicant will be provided the opportunity to assist with many aspects of permitting, design, and construction of small hydropower projects in the lower mainland. A small R&D component will also focus on integrating hydropower with other renewables, development of novel hydrometric techniques, and GIS reconnaissance research.
Experience in the following would desirable, but not mandatory:
- Hydrology and Hydrometric field work,
GIS (ArcGIS) and Remote Sensing,
AutoCAD,
Excel data processing and analysis,
Macro and Visual Basic programming.
