We are seeking a full-time CAD/GIS Technician for our Burnaby office to support a wide variety of domestic and international projects. As part of the Information Management team you will also have opportunities to support a wide variety of multi-disciplinary environmental projects in the water resources, aggregate, power, mining and infrastructure development sectors.
You will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative and collegial global team focused on delivery of superior products to our clients, and will be able to draw upon, and contribute to, the skills of our more than 300 professionals across the company. Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience using ESRI and AutoCAD software products
- Experience with AutoCAD LDD and Civil 3D software and proven ability to prepare engineering drawings for earthworks and grading projects, landfill design, and construction tender documents.
- Experience with map production, geographic data processing, and analysis using ESRI ArcGIS
- Solid understanding of current geospatial data formats, map projections, and database concepts.
- Strong computer skills, including basic MS Access, SQL, and VB programming skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Map for creation of maps and drawings.
- Ability to adhere to corporate data and cartographic standards and willingness to help in the development and implementation of these standards.
- Very good data and project organization skills. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines for different projects.
