This is a technical mapping and administrative position providing support and assistance to the Engineering department by the entry, modification, maintenance, translation and conversion of spatial and attribute data, and performing technical work related to spatial and attribute data for a variety of City engineering activities and projects.
The successful candidate will have completed a two-year diploma in GIS and Mapping Technology, supplemented by several courses in Civil Engineering. Some experience in technical GIS and mapping is required. Experience in the use of current computer office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) is also required.
Applicants must possess the ability to communicate and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals and groups including internal municipal staff, consultants and contractors. A valid BC Driver’s License with a safe driving history is required.
