The Ministry of Natural Resources is looking for a highly motivated, well organized individual to provide advice, plan/lead Aboriginal programs, initiatives and promote understanding, co-operation/participation in the ministry’s sustainable resource management programs.

Qualifications: knowledge of Aboriginal culture, issues, concerns, legislation/policies; knowledge of government’s natural resource management mandate and related programs, resource planning/management activities; strong written/oral communication skills, ability to deal tactfully/diplomatically with external/internal clients/public; excellent interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution skills; strong organizational, research, analytical skills; good judgment/ability to work independently in a team environment; working knowledge of budgeting, partnership funding procedures; ability to track/monitor expenditures/deliverables; ability to use PC (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, Internet/intranet, e-mail); ability to adapt to flexible work schedules in order to attend training, conferences, workshops, events and travel to alternate work locations, attend meetings outside of normal business hours; valid driver’s license.
