The Ministry of Natural Resources is looking for a highly motivated, well organized individual to provide technical expertise in the development, maintenance and utilization of natural resources databases. You will carry out a variety of data, technical and administrative duties and assist in the development of data-sharing agreements.
Qualifications: demonstrated ability to use GIS technology in resource management; ability to input GIS data, digitize and produce reports/maps for a variety of resource management applications; demonstrated ability to deal with a volume of detailed work, establish priorities, organize work, meet deadlines, work independently; working knowledge of a variety of computer operating systems/applications related to resource management; good interpersonal, written/oral communication skills; ability to negotiate resource management information sharing partnerships and copyright licence agreements; knowledge/understanding of ecological principles/practices required to organize, conduct and coordinate field surveys/projects; valid driver`s licence.
