Bring your expertise in spatial analysis and cartographic tools, particularly geographic information systems and join our team!
As the GIS Analyst you will provide services to the Business Area by managing data and conducting advanced spatial data analysis for use in BCTS resource planning and decision making. Bring your wealth of knowledge and skills in GIS to address a variety of challenges in integrating data/information from a variety of sources to produce maps and other graphic materials.
Qualifications:
- a technical school diploma in GIS or natural resource management and three years of related and current (gained within the last three years) experience or the equivalent combination of training and experience such as five years related experience;
- demonstrated experience creating a variety of digital, graphical and descriptive products including themes, colour thematic maps, terrain models and associated descriptive statistics;
- demonstrated project management and administration experience including overseeing contracts; and,
- Prefer completion of ministry training courses.
- Demonstrated ability to apply layout and design principles including combining line and space effectively.
