Job Responsibilities
The Victoria Office of Golder Associates is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GIS Technician to join our Geographics Group. Working with our engineers and environmental consultants, your duties will include responding to a variety of data preparation, data management, analysis, and mapping requests. With assistance from other GIS professionals in the region, you will responsible for setting up and bringing GIS services to the Victoria office. Candidates must have a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
Job Requirements
•Diploma or technical degree in GIS and/or Bachelor’s degree in geography (or equivalent) with substantial course experience in GIS;
•Minimum 3 years directly relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment;
•Experience with ArcGIS 8x or 9x is a requirement;
•Well-rounded computer and software experience including Microsoft Office while other geomatics software experience would also be considered an asset;
•A strong commitment to Health and Safety.
