Description: The Community Services I&IT Cluster seeks a skilled and motivated automated mapping technician for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing portfolio. Working with the GIS coordinator and team, you will use your technical expertise to: deliver projects, products and services related to GIS analysis; integrate spatial and tabular data related to ministry businesses in local government, housing and land use planning, and build and maintain GIS datasets related to these.

Qualifications: demonstrated knowledge of geomatics sub-disciplines including data integration and analysis, geodatabase design and building, GIS programming and data/map organization; proficiency with GIS software including ArcGIS suite and ArcMap; ability to create complex digital map and data products, integrating remotely sensed data; excellent project management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills; initiative in learning new technologies; familiarity with web GIS; knowledge of ministry businesses.
