English or French essential

Education

  • Graduation from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics or Geostatistics.

Experience

Recent and significant* experience in two (2) of the following:

Experience in working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) organizations and/or GIS programs in the public sector.

Experience in using GIS software packages.

Experience in working in data analysis and research specifically related to GIS.

*Recent and significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full time performance of duties for a minimum of two (2) years within the last five (5) years.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

Reliability Status. This factor is not used at the preselection stage. The Department is responsible for the Security Clearance process.

  • The following merit criteria may be required for this position. Applicants should indicate in their application if they meet the merit criteria.
    • Master’s degree from a recognized university with a specialization in Geography or equivalent such as Geomatics, etc.
    • Experience in leading work teams.
    • Experience in managing projects.
    • Experience in working in quality assurance.

Applicants who meet the above criteria will also be assessed against the Statement of Merit Criteria for this position.
