Academic Assistant, Geography


The Department of Geography at the University of Lethbridge is seeking an Academic Assistant for a continuing (probationary) position beginning July 1, 2007. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Geography (or related discipline) with experience instructing geomatics, and quantitative and physical geography laboratories. The applicants should possess excellent skills in GIS and Remote Sensing and will be required to instruct laboratory components of courses using software such as Arc/GIS, MapInfo, and ENVI software. The ability to instruct geography laboratories in Geomorphology, Atmospheric Science, Soils, Remote Sensing and GIS would be an asset.

The position is open to all qualified applicants, although preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
