Sustainable Resource Development, Edmonton – Are you looking for an interesting and challenging opportunity in which to use your land surveying background? Reporting to the Land Survey Advisory Team Lead, you will examine field returns for official surveys to ensure that existing legislative requirements and surveying standards are being complied with. You will also assist in the research and maintenance of official and historical land survey records. Other key duties will include assisting with the preparation of official survey instructions and providing land survey advisory services to stakeholders. Your sound knowledge of the Alberta Land Survey System, the Surveys Act, the Land Titles Act as well as your strong interpersonal, analytical and time management skills will assist you in this position.
Qualifications: Related technical diploma and several years of directly related experience in land surveying. Knowledge of and experience with related technologies, such as the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Computer Aided Drafting Systems (CAD) are definite assets. Equivalencies will be considered. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification level and salary. Final candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening. Salary: $45,420 TO $59,484 PER ANNUM
