English essential
Education
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university, with acceptable specialization in Agriculture, Geography, Natural Resource Management, or related discipline.
Experience
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in working with stakeholder groups, such as local conservation groups or agencies, local, provincial or other federal government agencies.
Experience in using geographic information systems (GIS) for resource analysis OR developing and using decision support tools or data, OR experience using integrated resource management model(s).
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in applying Canadian census information.
Experience with AAFC programs, policies and activities.
Experience in applying the principles and applications of integrated resource or landscape or watershed management.

Challenge
Plans and conducts analysis into land use, including land and water related issues, in Canada.
Working with multi-stakeholder groups to develop and analyze agri-environmental information.
Develop decision support tools and use integrated resource management models to help local communities develop long-term strategic plans.
Provide appropriate agri-environmental information to land use decision makers.
Coordinates leads and participates in multi-agency agricultural watershed and land use activities/projects.
Provides input to senior management for the development of Branch responses to issues related to land use issues.
Provide extension services, including report writing to partners, regional and district staff.
