Instructor, Language and Culture Program (Nunavut Arctic College, Nunatta Campus)

Under the supervision of the Senior Instructor, Language and Cultural Program, the incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of courses in the Inuit Studies and the Interpreter and Translator program.

The incumbent will also be responsible for transcribing elders’ interviews, translating, proofing and editing and revising newly produced and existing materials. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of instructional materials produced by the program.

The incumbent must be fluent in English and in Inuktitut, spoken and written. Familiarity with several dialects of Inuktitut is essential. The ability to teach consecutive and simultaneous interpreting and technical translation is required. In addition, candidates must be able to type in roman orthography and syllabics.

Salary is currently under review.
